About

Jamie Kindleyside

Born in Massachusetts in 1969, Jamie Kindleyside began playing coffee shops & clubs in New England in his early 20s. He moved to Nashville in 1998, having already made his first self-titled CD. With gainful employment in the kitchen at the legendary Bluebird Cafe, he was in the perfect spot to hone his craft.

After 4 albums made it to the Americana charts, he began collaborating with Nashville native and celebrated artist/producer, Suzi Ragsdale. The result is Would You Live With Me On Mars?, a 14 track, audible delight.

Praise

“The writing here is sharp, spare and honest … you have to hear this and pass it on.”

— Kevin Welch

“He’s a gravelly-voiced finger picker influenced by Woody Guthrie & Mississippi John Hurt … he writes about what he knows …”

— Jack Silverman, Nashville Scene

“A very talented singer/songwriter, Jamie has played everywhere from dives, to the street, to festivals and often at the Bluebird Cafe. No matter the venue, the crowds relate to him. He is a poet, blues man, a folkie and a nice guy.

— Amy Kurland, founder of The Bluebird Cafe, Nashville, TN

“Every once in a while you find yourself lucky enough to watch a musician playing in a bar … and realize you are witnessing a future legend
